Safari Overview
This nine -day wildebeest Mara River Crossing safari is a perfect first tour. Focuses on witnessing the dramatic river crossings during the Great Migration in Northen Serengeti. You’ll have a chance explore another glorious of African lands, including the magnificence of the Ngorongoro Crater as well as Tarangire National Park.
The best time to visit: The Mara River Crossing usually occur between late July and October with the peak being August and September.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Arusha
Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha Town 55km / 1 hour
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcome and great by our transfer driver who will introduce to you about our beautiful country and then escort you to Arusha City in your chosen accommodation for evening rest to get ready for your next day adventure.
Accommodation: Forest Hills hotel in half board meals.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Arusha town – Tarangire 2 hours
After breakfast you will start a beautiful safari with game drive enroute to Tarangire National Park, arrive at the gate our driver will do all the government procedures then proceed to the park for a full day game drive.
Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania most famous for its elephant migration, Baobab trees and birding safari with a quiet atmosphere.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Transfer Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater 40 min
After breakfast, we take a short, pleasant drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area, we will have an early descent into the crater for a half-day game drive.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCAA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism.
In the evening drive to Serengeti for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 4: Central Serengeti National Park
Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast your driver will be ready to start your trip to our famous park Serengeti National Park ‘The Endless Plain” This Park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “Big Five”: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo.
Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles that join the wildebeests’ trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of Serengeti just like how you imagined African wildlife to be.
After a long day of Safari, you will drive to your accommodation for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 5: Central – North Serengeti National Park
Central – North Distance 155km
After breakfast we depart to north Serengeti for wildebeest migration, Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with prides of lion up to 30 strong, however, from July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note – to actually finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck.
After a long day of Safari, you will drive to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: North Serengeti National Park
Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in the Wagakuria area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in this area of the park, with prides of lion up to 30 strong, however, from August to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note –Finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to river and only decide to cross or not cross until a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve

Day 7: North Serengeti National Park
Full Day Game Drive
Today you will have another game drive in North Serengeti focused on witnessing the wildebeest and Zebra crossing at the Mara River.
Spot predators such as crocodile and big cats lying in wait. It’s another beautiful day to explore the lush landscapes of the Northern Serengeti.
Late afternoon you will drive to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Farewell Game drive in Serengeti – Karatu
Transfer to Karatu for an overnight
Our last day in Serengeti, wake up in the morning after breakfast, wave goodbye to the vast plains of the Serengeti and its large wildlife herds enjoys game drive in Ngorongoro Ares en- routes to Karatu. Late afternoon you will check in to your lodge for relaxation, hot delicious dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Karatu – Kilimanjaro Airport
Transfer Karatu – Kilimanjaro Airport 4 hour
After breakfast relax at the lodge, wait for an early lunch, and drive to Arusha where you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
